In accordance with past practice and usage, the Conference Committee requests authorization to add the monetary terms of collective bargaining agreements for the following bargaining units: Alaska Correctional Officers Association Correctional Officers Unit Alaska Public Employees Association / Supervisory Unit Labor, Trades and Crafts Unit Alaska Graduate Workers Association / UAW The request was signed by Representatives D. Johnson (Chair), Edgmon, Ortiz; and Senators Stedman (Chair), Olson. The Speaker granted the limited powers of free conference as requested. In addition, the Speaker ruled that given the unique nature of collective bargaining agreements in the budget process, that must either be accepted or rejected, these late-received collective bargaining agreements would be incorporated into the budget during the conference committee process, so therefore the Speaker granted the powers requested by the conference committee related to the above bargaining agreements.
